Dear R2 Family,

It is with pride and optimism that I welcome you to the 2025–2026 school year at Riverside Elementary School District (R2).

Rooted in excellence and driven by innovation, R2 remains committed to empowering every student through a transformative educational journey-from the ABCs to advanced degrees. We believe education is not a finite experience, but a lifelong pursuit. Our bold vision is to creole a seamless K–20 continuum that prepares students for academic success, leadership, and service in an increasingly complex world.

This vision is brought to life by the dedication of our exceptional educators–innovators, mentors, and champions of student growth. We support their continued learning through high-quality professional development, collaborative environments, and resources that enable rigorous, relevant, and responsive instruction.

Our STEM² initiative–integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine–continues to expand, offering students hands-on experiences that connect classroom learning with real-world application. Through partnerships with organizations like Banner Health and Abrazo Hospitals, students gain early exposure to high-demand fields and build the skills needed for future academic and career success.

We are also strengthening our academic programs to align with college and career readiness. From project-based learning and digital innovation to after-school enrichment and early college exploration, we are cultivating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where every student is challenged, supported, and inspired.

Equally important is our commitment to safe, inclusive, and nurturing school communities. We know students thrive when they feel seen, valued, and connected. This sense of belonging is fostered through strong relationships, open communication, and a shored belief in the limitless potential of every child.
